On May 16, 2007 the Village Board of Trustees passed a local law to abolish the Village Police Department.  This was a cost savings measure and in no way reflected on the professionalism and performance of our Village police officers.

As of June 1, 2007 the Village entered into a contract with the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department to provide 24 hour per day coverage of the Village 7 days a week.  A deputy is on duty at all times to respond solely to the needs of the Village.
