A special meeting, budget workshop, of the Village Board was held April 12, 2012 at 6:00 PM in the Village Hall, 244 Main Street.

Mayor Morreale called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll Call: Trustee Denno, Trustee Enekes, Trustee Halliday & Trustee Saunders were present.
Also Present: Supt Lozier, Chief Kelley & Clerk-Treas Colson

PUBLIC COMMENTS, QUESTIONS & CONCERNS

Ray Bush and Jim Hopkins stated they felt the proposed employee raises were too high.

Sherrie Mann questioned if the WWTP Operator duties had increased and was told they had.

NEW BUSINESS

The Board discussed the proposed 2012/2013 budget in detail.  Questions were raised as to whether the DPW equipment purchase should be made as a lease to own option and whether the Fire Department budget could be trimmed in either the Equipment or R & M Equipment lines.  The Board also discussed the proposed raises for the WWTP Operator and Deputy Clerk-Treasurer.  The Board decided instead of the proposed salaries of $48,000 and $30,000 the salaries should be reduced as a compromise to $47,080 and $29,565 respectively.  Trustee Saunders disagreed with the compromise.  The Board agreed the proposed tax rate of $5.49 per thousand was acceptable.

Motion by Trustee Denno, seconded by Trustee Halliday that Board adjourn, 9:20 PM.
