Village Board Minutes

April 28, 2008 (84)

An emergency meeting of the Village Board was held April 28, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Village Hall, 260 Main St

Mayor Winslow called the meeting to order.

Roll Call: Trustees Denno, Enekes & Lescault were present.  Trustee Densmore was excused.
Also Present: Treas Fuller, Bldg Insp Jacon & Clerk Colson.

NEW BUSINESS

Motion by Trustee Lescault, seconded by Trustee Denno approved publication in the Post Star & Pennysaver notice of public hearing to be held May 7, 2008 at 6:00 PM in the firehouse re: amending the Small Cities grant to include the new activity for “slums & blight spot” to allow use of grant funds for removal of debris from the fire on Main St.
Carried – 3 – 0

Motion by Trustee Denno, seconded by Trustee Enekes approved publication in the Pennysaver of a letter from the Village & Town re: committee exploring sharing services or municipal consolidation.
Carried – 3 – 0

Motion by Trustee Lescault, seconded by Trustee Enekes approved publication in the Pennysaver of brush pick-up schedule & notice against debris at curb.
Carried – 3 – 0

The Board discussed a time limit on leaving the garbage containers at the curb after pick-up. Clerk Colson will research what prior actions were taken on this subject.

John Jacon stated that at the Planning Board meeting Jeffrey Dumont asked for a variance regarding set backs of his rebuilding of his Main St property.  The set back he is referring to is a State building code requirement; Atty Auffredou suggested Mr. Dumont contact Joe McGrath at the State for a variance.  Mayor Winslow also suggested that Mr. Dumont speak with Kathy Dorgan, an architect that has offered to donate some time to the property owners.

Michael N’dolo of Camoin Associates spoke with the Board about the mechanics of possibly using Small Cities Grant funds towards the removal of debris on Main Street.  No decisions will be made until after the public hearing on May 7, 2008.

Motion by Trustee Lescault, seconded by Trustee Denno that Board adjourn, 10:45 AM.
